Candlestick wicks explained
Wicks Reveal Price Rejection & Traps
Wicks are not just highs and lows: they are rejected prices. A long upper wick proves buyers attempted to auction price higher, but sellers stepped in with heavy supply and slammed price back down. A long lower wick proves sellers drove price lower, but buyers aggressively absorbed the move.
Remember: The longer the wick relative to the body, the stronger the rejection at that level.
